Job summary

Banner Health in Sterling, Colorado is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Primary Care Clinic at Sterling Regional MedCenter. You will perform collection and preparation of specimens, ensure accuracy, and document results in the site system. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• A current license in state practiced as required by state law.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• Six months experience in clinical lab or completion of phlebotomy school.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection and patient preparation with correct ID and specimen integrity.
• Verifies patient demographics and data entry for accurate documentation/billing.
• Maintains quality and completes documents per site protocol.
• Maintains and cleans laboratory equipment and environment.
• Assists with inventory and supplies; suggests cost-saving improvements.
• May perform patient testing and donor registration duties as assigned.
