Job summary

MemorialCare, a nonprofit integrated health system serving Orange and Los Angeles Counties, seeks a Phlebotomist in Fountain Valley, CA. The role supports the licensed clinical care team with ambulatory phlebotomy and specimen handling in a fast-paced primary care setting.

The position requires CPT certification, BLS, and at least one year of phlebotomy experience with all ages. A $2,500 signing bonus is available to external hires, with additional benefits and comprehensive health coverage

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Certificate of Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association required.
• Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain venipunctures and capillary specimens per provider orders.
• Label specimens correctly and immediately in front of the patient.
• Maintain QC data/logs per regulatory guidelines.
• Follow safety and quality protocols in the laboratory environment.
• Provide coverage as a Medical Assistant if applicable.
• Communicate effectively with team and patients; assist in day-to-day operations.
