Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring proper transport and storage. Requires valid phlebotomy certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with benefits available. Training will cover OSHA/DEP regulations and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain clearly the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods to patients as required.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Package specimens for transport and store samples per required temperatures to maintain integrity.
Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
