Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Experience with geriatrics and hard sticks.

• High School diploma or Phlebotomy Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures and ensure specimen transport integrity.
• Explain venipuncture procedure clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
