Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED; minimum 1 year of experience mentioned in posting.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and matches requisition forms to specimens.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and follow OSHA/DEP regulations; attend trainings; assist with workflow improvements.
