Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Phlebotomist (ID 6133) in Farmville, VA for a 3-month contract with potential for permanency. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm. Requires a phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience; HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Update patient information and test requisitions.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously.
• Prepare specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and storage.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Handle telephone inquiries and relay lab results as needed.
