The Recruiting Hive in Manassas, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with an expected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement.

Must hold a state phlebotomy certificate, have at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting, and be proficient with Microsoft Office. Data entry and meticulous attention to detail are essential for labeling, processing, and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensures test requisitions match specimens and documents accordingly.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores samples per required temperatures.
