Your Talent Team in Gahanna, OH is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3- to 4-month contract opportunity. Schedule is 8:30am–5:00pm on Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, and 8:30am–8:00pm on Thursday.

The role requires at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience and involves performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and following lab procedures. The position emphasizes accurate specimen processing, adherence to physician orders, and maintaining specimen integrity through proper storage and transport.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience with venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate proper technique using straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand and follow physicians' orders for tests.
• Match laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and transport as needed.
