Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. in Gahanna, OH is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support ongoing blood collection and specimen processing for 3 to 4 months. Schedule is Mon-Wed-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, with Thu 8:30am-8:00pm.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient information, with attention to safety and procedure compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture clearly to patients as required.
• Understand physicians' orders and test requirements.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes accurately.
• Package specimens for transport according to protocol.
• Store samples at required temperatures and conditions.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and process specimens according to procedures.
• Label and track specimens, ensuring accurate patient information.
• Explain venipuncture steps clearly to patients and obtain consent.
• Demonstrate technique using standard needles as required.
• Follow physician orders and document results or issues.
• Associate requisitions with the correct tubes and labels.
• Centrifuge, aliquot, and store specimens per SOPs.
• Ensure proper packaging for transport and storage.
