Management Performance Associates has a contract opportunity for a Phlebotomist in Gahanna, OH. The role supports blood collection, labeling, and workflow improvements.

Schedule includes 8:30am-5:00pm (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri) and 8:30am-8:00pm (Thu), with a projected duration of 3 to 4 months. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, centrifuging specimens, documenting maintenance data, ensuring proper labeling, and storing specimens per procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Fully understand physicians' orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature.
