Job summary

Labcorp in Medford, OR is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections and manage patient information with accuracy. You will support testing preparation, billing processes, and superior patient service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and phlebotomy certification or training. Occasional travel to other sites and overtime may be required, with a focus on teamwork and independent work when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
