Job summary

Labcorp in Providence, RI is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry and secure handling of patient information.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification or training (or 6 months+ experience). Preferred candidates have LabCorp experience, good communication, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
