Job summary

STG International, Inc. seeks a Phlebotomist to provide phlebotomy services and clerical support at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The role involves venipuncture, sample handling, front desk duties, and coordination with clinical staff.

Required: phlebotomy certificate and CPR/BLS; preferred two years of recent clinical experience. The position includes responsibilities across phlebotomy and administrative tasks in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of current clinical phlebotomy experience preferred within the last three years.
• Knowledge of medical terminology for test requests and results.
• Knowledge of reactions (syncope, vomiting, etc.) and management procedures.
• Strong diplomatic communication skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of phlebotomy duties including venipuncture, finger-stick and heel-stick.
• Conduct patient in-processing and guide patients through procedures.
• Assemble and prepare equipment and supplies for tests.
• Verify patient identity and collect blood samples for testing.
• Provide oversight/training for invasive procedures where applicable.
• Handle front desk lab administrative tasks and document samples.
• Support other clinic duties (front desk, Telehealth, etc.).
• Educate on specimen collection requirements (e.g., fasting, urine tests).
• Understand age-specific collection techniques for diverse patients.
