Job summary

The Valley Health System in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its Laboratory Services team. You will perform venipunctures, collect patient specimens, and ensure proper labeling and handling of samples in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and phlebotomy certification upon hire. Prior experience as a phlebotomist or lab assistant is preferred.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Acceptable phlebotomy training program.

Technical Skills

Basic computer knowlege required.

License/Certification

Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care analyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse, License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If national certification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the State of Nevada within 6 months of hire.

Other

Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency room technician, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set.
