The Valley Health System, serving Southern Nevada, is seeking a phlebotomy professional to join our team. The role involves performing venipunctures and specimen collection with training in testing requirements, under moderate supervision.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a phlebotomy training program; certification is required or licensure substituted as noted. Opportunities exist across VHS and UHS subsidiaries in a supportive health network.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Acceptable phlebotomy training program.
• Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care analyst license may be substituted for certification).
• Licensed Practical Nurse, License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted.
• If national certification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the State of Nevada within 6 months of hire.

Performs venipunctures and other patient specimen collections; has thorough knowledge of testing and collection requirements, Requires moderate supervision.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Acceptable phlebotomy training program.

Technical Skills

Basic computer knowlege required.

License/Certification

Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care analyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse, License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If national certification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the State of Nevada within 6 months of hire.

Other

Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, emergency room technician, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set.
