Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostics.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and within timely deadlines.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a certified training program.
• Three (3) months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six (6) months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Passes a standardized color blindness test.
• Phlebotomists may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Benefits

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary employees, are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
