Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Newton, NC. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens, and handle data entry with accuracy.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or training, or 3+ months of experience. Travel to additional sites may be required and strong customer service is a must.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program required; or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Newton, NC.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Travel to additional sites when needed, reliable transportation

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

PST's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
