UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to join our Carrollton, TX location. The role focuses on drawing blood, performing in-house testing, and preparing specimens for reference labs.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at 1601 W Hebron Pkwy, Suite 100, Carrollton, TX 75010. Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen handling, data entry, and ensuring patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current national certification as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist OR ability to obtain within 180 days.
• 2+ years of related experience in a clinical setting.
• 6+ months of experience performing routine blood and urine tests.
• 6+ months of experience with equipment and testing to perform quality control checks.
• Basic level of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment for blood collection.
• Perform venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe, and butterfly techniques; label specimens.
• Conduct designated laboratory testing.
• Instruct patients on urine collection procedures.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and work area.
• Inventories and orders supplies.
• Enter laboratory data into the computer system.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate data entry.
• Monitor biohazard waste and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Room patients and assist with calls.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Other related duties as assigned.
