Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist at 3059 W. 26th St, Chicago, IL. The role requires blood collection, specimen handling, data entry and patient service in a fast-paced setting.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm with rotating evenings and Saturdays. Bilingual English/Spanish and valid phlebotomy certification or training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or training program or 3+ months experience.
• Two years or more phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist at 3059 W. 26th St, Chicago, IL.
Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, rotating Thursday 11:00am - 6:30pm, rotating Saturdays 7:30am - 3:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Pay Range

$17.50 - $24.50 per hour. All job offers will be based on the candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
