Kindred Hospital Paramount and Acute Rehabilitation Unit seeks a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and related specimen collection tasks under the direction of the Area Laboratory Director. The role includes clerical duties in the laboratory and adherence to regulatory requirements.

You will collect blood specimens, label and document procedures, maintain clean work areas, and assist in LIS-based workflows while ensuring patient comfort and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• HS Graduate or equivalent; Phlebotomy training as required by state.
• Knowledge of venipuncture techniques and test requirements.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to document in LIS.

Responsabilités

• Collects blood specimens via venipuncture and skin puncture per orders and regulations.
• Labels and records all test tubes and logs procedures and paperwork.
• Maintains work areas, cleans supplies and inventories as needed.
• Uses LIS to document specimen collection, receipt and manifests.
• Performs clerical lab duties and assists in lab functions as directed.
