Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Dallas, TX. You will collect and process quality specimens safely, following BSWH policies. You will aid in patient care and assist with training and audits as assigned.

The role requires at least 3 years hospital phlebotomy experience and a national phlebotomy certification. Department is Lab, with a Day shift on a 7on/7off 2am–12:30pm schedule, located at BSWH BUMC Downtown Dallas TX.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hospital phlebotomy experience required.
• Must hold national phlebotomy certification.
• ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA certifications accepted.

Responsibilities

• Follows established specimen collection, labeling, transport and handling procedures.
• Ensures high customer satisfaction through professional conduct.
• Performs duties efficiently and accurately.
• Performs clerical duties as needed.
• Contributes to department goals and continuous improvement.

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT): Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies:

ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA.

OR

Donor Phlebotomy Tech certification from the ASCP.
