Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy: follow patient ID and specimen labeling procedures per policy.
• Accessioning and receiving specimens accurately and promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service using AIDET principles.
• Interact professionally with hospital staff.
• Review vouchers and registrations for accuracy and correct as needed.
• Order tests in hospital and lab computer systems and document issues.
• Comply with universal precautions and safety policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the courier vehicle if applicable.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High school graduate or GED

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in phlebotomy.

LICENSURE

Certified or certified eligible with National Phlebotomy Association preferred.Must have a current driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
