Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy with proper patient identification and specimen labeling per policy.
• Accessioning and timely registration of specimens into the laboratory system.
• Provide excellent customer service using AIDET principles to protect patient comfort and privacy.
• Interact professionally with all hospital staff and departments.
• Review vouchers and registrations for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
• Investigate and document problems with unacceptable specimens and orders in the system.
• Comply with universal precautions and hospital/lab policies at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned courier vehicle if applicable.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High school graduate or GED

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in phlebotomy.

LICENSURE

Certified or certified eligible with National Phlebotomy Association preferred. Must have a current driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
