Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist II to support a medical facility in Vienna, VA. This temporary role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (40 hours weekly) with pay range $24.51–$26.27 per hour.

Candidate must have a high school diploma and at least 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws. Medical training is preferred, and experience in a patient service center is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
• Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.
• Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately and efficiently in compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility, based in Vienna, VA 22182

This is a 3+ month role with a possible extension, and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm (40hrs/week)

Pay Range: $24.51- $26.27/hr

(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care.
• Ensure proper identification of patients prior to blood collection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Accurately label and document specimens for testing in accordance with medical terminology standards.

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training (such as medical assistant or paramedic programs) is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a Patient Service Center or clinical setting is preferred.
