Job summary

Brookings Health System seeks a Phlebotomist to join our award-winning rural health system in Brookings, SD. You will draw blood from patients from newborn to 100+ years old and assist the MLT/MT, working Fri-Sun mid-afternoon/evening/night shifts.

Phlebotomy certification is preferred; if not current, on-the-job certification will be discussed with the Lab Manager. This part-time role (≈18 hrs/wk) starts at $16.89/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred through an accredited institution.
• If no current phlebotomy certification, on‑job certification within a year will be discussed with the Lab Manager.
• Evening/night shift availability Friday–Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients ranging from newborn to 100+ years old.
• Assist the MLT/MT with various duties and lab tasks.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the phlebotomy area.

Phlebotomist

You will be able to sharpen your phlebotomy skills on patients, age newborn to 100+ years of age. We are looking for someone to work Fri-Sun mid-afternoon/evening/night shift. You will also be aiding the MLT/MT with various duties.

Requirements for Phlebotomist

• Phlebotomy certification preferred through an accredited institution
• If no current phlebotomy certification, on job certification within a year will be discussed with the Lab Manager.

Compensation

Starting at $16.89 per hour based on experience

Job Type

Part time, Approximately 18 hours per week: Friday (8 hours), Saturday (10 hours) and every other Sunday (10 hours)
