Endeavor Health is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures across multiple hospital sites and to collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and patient population considerations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR-BLS certification for Healthcare Providers, and preferred ASCP/PBT certification. Travel between sites is required; strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.22 - $27.87 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Patient Service Centers across Cook County
• Required Travel: Yes

What you will do:

• Perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director
• Responsible for ordering tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and documenting Lab receipt of specimens
• Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and in a manner which is appropriate for the age and/or specific patient population served
• Collect blood samples for specific tests ensuring volume is adequate and correct tubes are utilized

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience
• Certification: CPR-BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider required from the AHA and PBT (ASCP) certification preferred
• Experience: Phlebotomy training experience strongly preferred
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Good communication and organization skills, moderate computer skills needed, reliable transportation to travel between sites required, strong customer service skills.
