Job summary

Sanford Health Marsh Med Ctr Rice Lake is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join the team in Rice Lake, WI. You will collect blood and other specimens, explain procedures to patients, and ensure accurate documentation while upholding strict safety standards.

The role requires phlebotomy certification, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred BLS certification. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:30 am–12:30 pm; benefits and a supportive work environment are offered.

Job Summary

Uses equipment to collect samples of blood and other fluids from patients/residents; explains procedures to patients/residents and collects information from them in a professional manner. Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients/residents; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.
• Certified phlebotomist needed for this position.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
