Job summary

Premise Health in Tampa, FL is seeking a Full Time Phlebotomist to provide care to client employees and dependents at our Health Center. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30am to 4:00pm at our Tampa location.

The position requires phlebotomy certification, CPR, and relevant state certifications with hands-on clinical experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and a company-wide wellness program.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required (state or national) as listed.
• CPR certification with hands-on skills required.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy program with hands-on externship and 100 hours clinical experience.
• State phlebotomy certifications for NV/CA/WA/LA listed in the ad.
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Work independently following safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with supply inventory.
• Instruct phlebotomy procedures to new employees.
• Adhere to BSFHC infection control guidelines and MSDS safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Tampa, FL. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm.

What You’ll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include "hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA and LA)
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
