Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Department at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA

The Phlebotomist position proficiently and expediently obtains blood samples from patients for diagnostic laboratory testing, while maintaining an attitude of courtesy and professionalism. Venous blood samples are performed on all age populations, including the elderly and the very young. Capillary collections are performed using finger and heel sites generally from infants and children. Also responsible for limited collection of biological samples for microbiology tests if working in the Outpatient Patient Service Center.

Shift Details: Part-Time, Variable shift, 4–10-hour shift length

Required qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.

  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification

Preferred qualifications:

  • Completion of Medical Assistant course.

  • Formal education in phlebotomy or college courses in anatomy, physiology, and other clinical sciences.

  • 1 year Computer experience.

  • 1 year Laboratory or related science experience.

  • 1 year Working experience or internship in the clinical laboratory, physician’s office, plasma center, or other related business.
