  • Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
  • Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
  • Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
  • Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
  • Work in a plasma center with potential exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold in the plasma freezer

  • Ability to make precise coordinated finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects
  • Frequent foot movement; ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.

  • Color perception/discrimination; near vision and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
