Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a patient service center phlebotomist to provide exceptional customer service, perform venipuncture and capillary draws for all ages, and collect specimens for drug screens and tests.

You will enter patient data accurately, process billing, prepare specimens for testing, and maintain logs. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or training or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Must pass a standard color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in a Patient Service Center or Client office.
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old
