Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Orland Park, IL 60462

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Orland Park, IL 60462 (Float request with varied hours in Chicago, Chicago Heights, Orland Park, Joliet, Hazel Crest, Aurora, Carpentersville, South Holland, Kankakee, Streamwood, Forest Park)

Schedule: 8-8 M-F, availability required. Multiple sites; schedule depends on earliest opening site (40 hrs/week)

Pay Range: $17/hr-$23/hr (Offered pay rate based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials. Rate depends on years of direct experience as listed in the resume.)

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, decontaminate, update patient information, etc.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders, match requisition forms to specimens, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Verify test requisitions and labels for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store samples at required temperatures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
