Job summary

LCH Lab. Corp. of America Holdings is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist for a part-time position at our outpatient center in Novi, MI. The schedule involves 3rd shift hours, 3:00 AM–7:30 AM, working Monday–Thursday and alternate Saturdays and Sundays.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service skills, and preferably a Phlebotomy certification. Comprehensive benefits are provided to employees working 20 or more hours weekly.

Job description

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at our outpatient center in Novi, MI. This is a part‑time position schedule: 3rd shift, 3:00AM–7:30AM. Shifts work Monday–Thursday and Saturday one week and Sunday, Monday, Wednesday–Friday the second week.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
