Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Southfield, MI. This role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, and data entry for accurate patient records. You will travel to additional sites when needed and provide excellent customer service to patients.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience; certification or training is preferred. The shift is 12:00PM-10:30PM with four rotating days per week and alternating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Southfield, MI.

Work Schedule: 12:00PM-10:30PM working four rotating days/week and every other weekend

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
