Job summary

Wayne Hospital in Greenville, OH is seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist/Processor to join our laboratory team. The role collects, transports, and processes specimens, with a daytime shift and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will perform venipuncture, label and prepare samples, manage requisitions in our computer system, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Some experience in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science preferred.

Part Time Day Shift - Varied start time from 5:30am to 8:30am and varied end time from 2pm to 5pm AND rotation of every 3rd weekend and every 3rd day shift holiday

Position Summary

The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens.

• Deliver specimens to testing areas.
• Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders.

• Conduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain a safe work environment.

Safety & Physical Demands:

• Ability to walk 5-7 miles daily and stand for entire shift.
• Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals.
• Adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policies.
• Compliance with PPE requirements in lab or biohazard areas.
• Completion of required safety training and health evaluations promptly.
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety hazards, promoting safety awareness.
