Job summary

Labcorp in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Responsibilities include blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen collection for various tests, and accurate data entry of patient information.

Minimum qualification is a high school diploma; a Phlebotomy certification or training is preferred. Travel to additional sites may be required and excellent customer service is essential.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more experience in Hormone Testing

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
