Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ at 2241 E. Fry Boulevard, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635. Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm with additional days/hours as needed.

Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary collections, processing specimens, data entry, billing support, and providing exceptional patient service. Travel to other sites may be required; high school diploma or equivalent is required, with phlebotomy certification preferred and

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist Bilingual in English/Spanish

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
