Job summary

Labcorp in San Tan Valley, AZ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule: Mon–Thu 8:00–17:30, Fri 8:00–12:00 with potential overtime. You will collect blood samples, handle specimens, enter patient data, and provide excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma; preferred phlebotomy certification or training and experience in an Ob/gyn setting. Travel to other sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.

• Enter patient information accurately into the system in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites as required.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in San Tan Valley, AZ at North Gantzel Road, San Tan Valley, AZ 85140.

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm and Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more experience in an Obgyn setting

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
