Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist II to support a healthcare facility in Durham, NC. This 13+ weeks local contract offers extension or conversion opportunities and a competitive pay range.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, collecting specimens from pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients, and maintaining accurate records. High school diploma and 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience are required.

• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections preferred.

• Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and obtain required patient signatures following venipuncture.
• Verify that specimen tubes are properly labeled in the patient's presence.
• Maintain accurate patient, specimen, and other required records and documentation.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Durham, NC. This is a 13+ weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM EST

Job Type: Local contract

Pay Range: $19 to $21/hour*

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Perform accurate and safe venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
• Collect specimens from pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.
• Perform capillary collections as required.
• Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and obtain required patient signatures following venipuncture.
• Verify that specimen tubes are properly labeled in the patient's presence.
• Maintain accurate patient, specimen, and other required records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Years of experience: Minimum 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience – REQUIRED
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
