Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Cushing, OK is seeking a weekend shift, part-time Phlebotomist at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing. The role focuses on patient-centered specimen collection and accurate handling of samples in a community hospital setting.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, completed an accredited phlebotomy program with clinicals or prior experience, and national certification. Prior inpatient experience is preferred and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or prior phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from nationally recognized agency (NHA, ASCP, AMT, NCCT, ACA).

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and urine collection as required.
• Collect and handle specimens following safety and quality protocols.
• Maintain patient comfort and accurate labeling and documentation.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience
• Certification from nationally recognized agency. Accepted agencies and certifications include, but are not limited to:

  • American Society for Clinical Pathology – Phlebotomy Technician: PBT (ASCP)
