Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Broadmoor PSC team in Colorado Springs, CO. The role involves collecting blood via venipuncture and capillary methods, processing specimens, entering patient data, and providing outstanding patient service.

Travel to additional sites may be required, with a Mon-Fri schedule and rotating Saturdays. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred phlebotomy certification or training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred (9 months or more experience).
• Ability to pass color blindness test; flexible for overtime; strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, rotational Saturdays included in this role.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program 9 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on / 7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $18.29 to $28.49 per hour
