Job summary

Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to obtain and prepare specimens for analysis across outpatient, inpatient, surgery and emergency patients. You will work under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and use a wireless handheld device to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited phlebotomy program with national certification preferred, plus a High School diploma and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) required.

• Use a wireless handheld computer to support patient safety.
• Assist during laboratory processes for outpatient, inpatient, surgery and emergency department.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Phlebotomist, you will help the Laboratory obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis so they can provide accurate laboratory services vital for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency department patients.

Every day you will work under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, obtaining and/or preparing specimens for analysis. You will be expected to use a state-of-the-art wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

To be successful in this role, you must be a dynamic Phlebotomist who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients and have completed an accredited phlebotomy program (with national certification being preferred).

Job Requirements

Required

• High School diploma or equivalent
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Preferred

• Previous experience in a health-related field
• Phlebotomy Cert
