Job summary

PPC Southwest Florida is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join our Cape Coral Laboratory. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection, labeling, and maintaining a clean, compliant phlebotomy area.

One year of phlebotomy experience and CPR certification (or ability to obtain on hire) are required. You will support patient care across our Cape Coral and satellite locations with reliability and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• One year of phlebotomy experience required.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients
• Collect specimens in the correct container according to COLA requirements
• Ensure the correct recording and labeling of all specimens collected
• Clean, maintain, and stock phlebotomy area, draw stations, and patient restrooms
• Provide coverage at our satellite practice laboratories on an as-needed basis
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
• Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
• Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment to perform routine tests
• Regular and reliable attendance is required
