Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to work on-site at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Bedford, MA. You will perform patient phlebotomy in multiple service areas, ensure proper identification and labeling, and support timely test processing.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification, and an active BLS card. Three years of recent phlebotomy experience and fluent English are essential to provide

Responsabilidades

• Perform patient phlebotomy including inpatient and outpatient settings, ED, STAT, ASAP and timed draws.
• Process samples and prepare them for send-out testing.
• Identify patients prior to collection and ensure sample integrity and accurate labeling.
• Protect patient information per safety and privacy policies.
• Identify, document, and resolve collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues.
• Deliver professional patient-centered care and maintain compliance with all stakeholders.

Position Summary

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is a trusted partner of federal health agencies. We currently have openings for a Phlebotomist. The work will be on-site at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Bedford, MA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• The contract personnel may work in multiple areas of the lab as determined by the needs of the service at that time and shall be responsible for providing the following service:
  • The contract employee will perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws
• The contract employee will perform sample processing and send out preparation
• As part of safety, positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting
• As part of safety and safeguards electronic and paper patient information
• Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues
• Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy Certification
• Three (3) years of recent Phlebotomy experience
• Active BLS Card (AHA)
• Proven ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
• Ability to obtain public trust

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP, AMT, NHA or equivalent preferred

SCA Salary Range: $24.24 / Hour + $5.42 H&W
