Job summary

UNT Dallas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Associate Professor of Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will develop a Philosophy minor and lead interdisciplinary minors and certificates across the university.

We seek a student-centered, collaborative scholar who will teach undergraduate philosophy and contribute to curriculum development, interdisciplinary initiatives, and student success initiatives in a rapidly growing public

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Philosophy or closely related discipline by start date.
Associate Professor rank; demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Evidence of sustained scholarly productivity.
Experience with curriculum or program development.
Ability to collaborate across disciplines; strong communication.

Responsibilities

Teach and develop undergraduate philosophy and interdisciplinary studies courses.
Develop a Philosophy minor and interdisciplinary minors/certificates.
Contribute to university-wide initiatives and curriculum development.
Engage in scholarship, service, and student mentoring.
Participate in shared governance and departmental activities.
