Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field; an equivalent combination may be considered.
• At least three years of experience in grant writing, grant administration, nonprofit development, or related field with multiple funding projects.
• Ability to identify funding opportunities, evaluate eligibility/risks, develop persuasive proposals, and oversee reporting/compliance.
• Ability to interpret funding guidelines, budgets, and reporting requirements; exercise independent judgment and make recommendations to leadership.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines across multiple funding sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with Finance, program leaders, funders, and auditors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with grant-tracking/donor systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and development of public and private funding opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities for eligibility, fit, requirements, deadlines, financial implications, and risks; advise CFO on next steps.
• Lead responses to proposals, including narratives and budgets, with Finance and program leaders.
• Build relationships with corporations, foundations, and funders; identify partnerships and engagement opportunities.
• Manage grant servicing from award through closeout, coordinating reports and communications with departments.
