Job summary

The Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges (CCCS Foundation) seeks a Director of Philanthropy to lead statewide donor development, cultivate major gifts, and expand the donor base. The role requires proactive fundraising leadership, strong relationship building, and ability to manage multi-year goals across individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Three days per week in the Lowry office are required, with extensive travel within Colorado and some national travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of successful fundraising or related sales experience.
• Experience securing five-figure gifts and cultivating donor relationships.
• Portfolio management across the full donor lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee donor pipeline from identification to renewal.
• Design strategies to secure major gifts from individuals and organizations.
• Advise leadership for donor meetings and solicitations.
• Coordinate donor engagement, stewardship, and documentation.
• Cultivate relationships through targeted outreach and communications.
• Identify and engage new prospects using entrepreneurial approaches.
