Job summary

TransMedics is seeking a highly qualified aviation operations professional in Andover, MA to manage and supervise flight operations in accordance with FAR Part135 and Part91. You will ensure documentation, safety, compliance, and coordination with maintenance plus the Operations Control Center for timely itineraries.

The role requires 3,000 hours total flight time, 1,500 PIC hours, EMB-505 rating, ATP certificate, current First Class Medical, and a clean record.

Qualifications

  • 3,000 hours total flight time and 1,500 PIC hours required.
  • Working knowledge of FAR Part 135 and Part 91 regulations.
  • Basic computer proficiency—MS Office, iOS, and related programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct aircraft operations and supervise crew per manuals.
  • Ensure flight, aircraft and passenger records are completed accurately.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and Operations Control Center.
  • Maintain compliance with flight/duty time and rest policies.
  • Review logs to ensure airworthiness and security coordination.
  • Manage preflight/postflight servicing and customer itinerary changes.
  • Ensure passports, visas and clearances are valid; compliance with regs.
  • Identify delays and implement corrective actions; maintain confidentiality.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Conduct aircraft operations and related job assignments in accordance with policies established in the General Operations Manual and Company Manuals.
  • Ensure all flight, aircraft and passenger records are completed in a neat, timely and accurate fashion.
  • Supervise other crewmembers in the performance of their duties.
  • Ensure compliance with flight/duty time limitations and rest periods in accordance with established policies.
  • Review Flight/Maintenance Log, Form MF-9/MR-10 to ensure airworthiness and coordinate with maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure preflight, post‑flight and routine servicing of the aircraft is accomplished per established policies.
  • Coordinate client requests for itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center.
  • Perform duties of Ground and In‑flight Security Coordinators per 40CFR1544.215(b‑c).
  • Ensure manuals, charts and equipment are current and on board.
  • Verify crew‑members and passengers have valid passports, immunizations, visas and clearances required for customs and agricultural inspections.
  • Ensure international arrivals and departures comply with applicable regulations.
  • Exercise operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations; ensure that no person other than a flight crew‑member manipulates aircraft controls.
  • Identify, anticipate and take corrective action to minimize delays due to scheduling, crew legality and maintenance issues.
  • Recommend process and communication improvements.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all client aircraft operations and sensitive or security matters.
  • Perform other TransMedics tasks and duties as necessary.
Background and Qualifications
  • Must have 3,000 hours total flight time and 1,500 hours total PIC time.
  • Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part135 and Part91.
  • Basic computer proficiency—Microsoft Office, iOS and other internet‑based programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
  • Must hold EMB‑505 Type Rating.
  • Must be able to lift 75lb. up a flight of aircraft stairs.
  • Must have ATP Certificate.
  • Must have Current First Class Medical and a clean record.
  • Must have Valid & Unrestricted Passport.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
Compensation

The compensation for this role is a fixed rate of $793.27 (daily), based on our good‑faith determination. Actual compensation is non‑negotiable and not subject to variation. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation earned at your daily rate and a comprehensive benefits package.
