Job summary

NVIDIA's Seattle Robotics Lab is seeking PhD‑candidate interns to contribute hands‑on in robotics research across perception, planning, and control. You will work with leading researchers, advancing algorithms, foundation models, and simulation tools for real‑world robotic systems.

Interns collaborate across robotics and machine learning stacks, publishing in top venues, and potentially transitioning to full‑time roles.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a PhD program in Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong research track record with first‑author work in top conferences/journals.
• Exceptional programming skills in Python; familiarity with C++, CUDA, and Warp is a plus.
• Fluency in modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS2 and physics simulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms, foundation models, and methods for robotic manipulation and loco-manipulation.
• Integrate methods into real-world robotic manipulation systems (collaborative and industrial arms, mobile manipulators).
• Contribute to multi-person research projects across robotics and ML stack.
• Engage with academia through high-impact publications, conferences, and code releases.
• Develop AI agents to accelerate research while ensuring correctness and reproducibility.
