Job summary

NVIDIA's Seattle Robotics Lab is seeking PhD-candidate interns to contribute to cutting-edge robotics and AI research. You will develop algorithms and foundation models for robotic manipulation, integrate them into real-world robotic systems, and collaborate across teams to push the boundaries of robotics and simulation products.

The role emphasizes strong research output, exemplary programming skills in Python, and familiarity with C++, CUDA, and DL frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a PhD program in Robotics, ML, CS, EE, ME, or related field
• Strong research track record with first‑author work in top conferences/journals
• Exceptional programming skills in Python; familiarity with C++, CUDA, Warp is a plus
• Fluency in modern DL frameworks (PyTorch or JAX)
• Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS2 and physics simulators like Isaac Sim/MuJoCo

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms, foundation models, and methods for robotic manipulation and loco-manipulation
• Integrate methods into real‑world robotic manipulation systems with various hardware
• Collaborate on multi‑person research projects across robotics and ML stack
• Engage with academia through high‑impact publications and code releases
• Develop AI agents to accelerate research and ensure correctness and reproducibility
